The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance to help locate two suspects wanted for breaking into a soda machine outside of Jones Market on Dec. 8 about 2 a.m.

“Video surveillance footage indicates that an adult male forced open the machine while a female kept watch. Approximately $200 was stolen. It is believed that the duo are familiar with the store,” the release stated.

Sheriff Colan Harrell said Tuesday morning that so far authorities hadn’t had any luck in identifying the suspects.

Anyone who believes they can identify the persons or vehicle involved is encouraged to contact Whitley County E911 at (606) 549-6017.

Deputy James Tabor is leading the investigation, and Dep. Joe Prewitt assisted.
