Whitley County’s Brad Moore plays in the tournament despite a downpour of rain.

The Corbin Redhounds’ golf team finished second in the 4th Annual Southeast Kentucky Golf Conference Tournament Monday at Crooked Creek in London.

The Redhounds, ranked fourth in the state, finished three strokes behind All “A” State champion, Jackson County by three strokes.

The Generals took first with a 159 led by Zach Norris, who recorded a two-under 34 for the nine-hole event that was played in a downpour of rain. Jacob Anderson finished with a 38.

Connor Maguet led the Redhounds with a 38 followed by Alex Davis and Luke Cooney with a pair of 41’s. Cody Ellis rounded out the day with a 42 and Henry Moore recorded a 43.

Ellis was named to the five-member all-conference team while Cooney and Davis were honorable mention all-conference.

The Redhounds will play their final regular season nine-hole match at Woodson Bend in Somerset Thursday against Southwestern and Rockcastle County. The will play in the Somerset Invitational Saturday.

The Whitley County Colonels also played in the SKGC Tournament, finishing seventh. Michael Harris led the Colonels with a 51.
