Spectrum recently joined Kentucky State Senate President Robert Stivers and Whitley County Judge-Executive Pat White Jr. at the Whitley County Disabled American Veterans Association to honor and celebrate veterans on Veterans Day and present a $5,000 contribution in support of the organization’s mission.
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) group empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives by ensuring they can access the full range of benefits available to them. DAV works to educate the public about the great sacrifices and needs of veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
This partnership between DAV and Spectrum will further support the DAV’s mission in Whitley County.
Whitley County DAV Commander Roy Siler said that the money will be used to replace a retaining wall at the DAV’s facility.
The Whitley County High School JROTC presented the colors at the start of the event.
