State Police bust meth lab near Corbin; three arrested

On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 10:16 PM the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, in London responded to a report of a Methamphetamine lab in an apartment at the Piney Grove Apartments on Robert E. Cox Road in Laurel County, Kentucky.

Upon arrival Trooper Mike King, Trooper Steve Smallwood and Laurel County Constable Denver Mays discovered three adults inside the residence. Upon further investigation an active Methamphetamine lab was discovered along with several items used in the production of methamphetamine.

Trooper Mike King arrested and charged the following people:

Rickie E. Eubanks, 32, of Corbin, charged with manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of a controlled substance 3rd, Possession of drug paraphernalia and a bench warrant. 

Anthony J Schumaker, 26, of London, charged with manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of a controlled substance 2nd, Possession of a controlled substance 1st and Possession of drug paraphernalia.   

Stephen D. Nunney, 42, of Corbin, charged with manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Trafficking in a controlled substance 1st, Possession of a controlled substance 1st and Possession of drug paraphernalia.       

All individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

Trooper Mike King is continuing the investigation and was assisted, at the scene, by Trooper Steve Smallwood, Laurel County Constable Denver Mays and the Laurel County Department of Public Safety.
