Sue Cornelius Prewitt, 68, of East Oak Ridge Street, Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Tennova Health Care in Knoxville, TN.

She was born on April 10, 1948 in Williamsburg, to the late Mary C. Smith.

She retired from Williamsburg City School for over 18 years. She was an avid supporter of all youth and school athletics at Williamsburg City School.

She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Steely and husband William of Williamsburg; son, Carl Prewitt and wife Holly of Williamsburg; six grandchildren, Brittany Daniels (Jeremy), Zachary Steely, Mathew Steely, McKenzie Prewitt, Madison Prewitt, and Morgan Prewitt; three great grandchildren, Jaylee,  Raelan, and Averie; brother, Clint Smith, Jr. (Eva) of Williamsburg; three sisters, Joyce Hall (Tim) of Irvin, Lois Jean Lovitt (Rev. Gary) of Williamsburg, and Darlene Faulkner (Mel) of Georgia; special cousin, Georgette Cornelius of Harrogate, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Mullins, Rev. Mike Moses, Rev. Roger Prewitt and Rev. Matt Rose officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Steely Cemetery.
