Susan and Dale Brown

Susan Jane Tidwell Norton and Virgil Dale Brown were married at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 26 at the Jellico United Methodist Church by ministers Ginger and John Richardson.
Mrs. Brown is the daughter of Wilma Tidwell and the late James Tidwell Jr. of Jellico, Tennessee. She is the middle and high school counselor at Williamsburg Independent School. Mr. Brown is the son of Thresa Brown and the late Oscar Brown of London. He is a retired railroad engineer and was employed by CSX for 32 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Brown have two grown children each; and Mr. Brown has one granddaughter.
Attendants at the wedding were Matthew Norton, presenting the bride for marriage; Heather Norton, maid of honor; Erica Elliott, bridesmaid; Rebekah Tidwell, flower girl. The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white calla lilies. A family reception was held at the Jellico City Library.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Townsend, Tennessee and plan to take an extended wedding trip to the Western states next summer. The couple will reside at 985 Skaggs Branch Road, Williamsburg.
The bride is the niece of Dr. and Mrs. Paul C. Powers of Clinton; Marjorie Johnson of Habersham; and the great-niece of Jeannette Petrey of Jellico.
