Susan Jane Messer Davenport, age 62, of Jellico, TN passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico, TN.
Susan is preceded in death by mother, Irene Jackson Messer; father, Jim Messer; brother, Jimmy Messer; sister, Nancy Knudsen; special aunt, Lil Thompson; and special uncle, Kinley; mother and father-in-law, Lillian and Samuel Davenport.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Sam Davenport; daughter, Samantha Bowman and husband Eric Bowman; daughter, Megan Davenport and fiancé Tyler Vanover; daughter, Christian Lindsay and husband Scott Lindsay; son, John Davenport and wife Tina Davenport; grandchildren, Gavin, Amelia, Maxen, Tyren, Ethan, Cody, Melanie, and Susan; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Deborah Huddleston and husband Terry Huddleston and Lisa Lewis; several nieces and nephews; sister, Joyce Brooks and husband Danny Brooks; nephew, Josh Brooks and wife Megan Brooks; nephew, Tyler Brooks and wife Chelsea Brooks; several great-nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Regina Morrison. The family would like to say a special thank you to Pam Bray. She is a friend in the purest most selfless form.
Funeral service was Thursday, May 25, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, TN with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.
Interment was Friday, May 26, in the Vermillion and Richardson Cemetery at Black Oak, KY.
The obituary was read by John Beams. Music provided by Shelia and Larry Lambdin. Serving as pallbearers were, Daniel (Cat Dog) Carpenter, Dawson Adkins, Eric Bowman, Tyler Vanover, Josh Brooks and Tyler Brooks.
