Thelma Jean Croley Hammons, 73, of Chicago, IL departed this life on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago.
Thelma was born on September 14, 1943 in Packard, to the late Ben E. Croley and Mossine Manning Croley.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Rev. George Croley, Jake Croley and John Croley and sisters, Lois Croley Wilson and Ivah Loraine Croley.
She is survived by her loving husband Wendell Keith Hammons of Chicago; sisters, Maxine Bundy of Williamsburg, Mildred Croley of Chicago and Joyce Charles (Eddie) of Dayton; brother, Bill T. Croley of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Friday, November 11, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Maynard officiating.
She was laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg.
