Thelma Kathryn Bailey, affectionately known to her family and friends as Kathryn, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. Born on December 21, 1932, in Williamsburg, Kentucky to Jennings and Ethel (Rose) Curd, she was a loving and smart woman whose heart was always full of kindness and compassion.
She was married to the love of her life, Ed Bailey, on April 20, 1952, and they built a beautiful life together in her beloved hometown of Williamsburg for over 73 years.
Kathryn is survived by her devoted husband, Ed Bailey of Williamsburg, KY; her cherished grandchildren, Brandi Mullis and husband Scotty of Williamsburg, KY, Nathan Meadows of Jamestown, KY, and Travis Meadows; great-grandchildren, Jenny Mullis, Hygon Meadows, and Kye Meadows; and her caring brother, Jimmy Curd and wife Shirley of Williamsburg, KY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jennings and Ethel (Rose) Curd; and her beloved children, Eddie Bailey and Peggy Bailey. Kathryn’s legacy of love will continue to live on through her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, at 5:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 14, at 1:00 pm at the Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Jones officiating.
Following the service, Kathryn will be laid to rest at Croley Addition Highland Park Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky, at 3:00 pm.
Kathryn’s life was a testament to the power of love and compassion. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
