Theresa Marie Ellison, 70, of London, passed away on Sunday December 23, 2018 at Diversicare of Claiborne in Tennessee.
She was born in Gray, a daughter to the late Edward Dizney and Marie Foley Dizney.
She was retired from JC Penny’s where she worked for over 20 years.
A loving wife and mother who was a humble but strong and spiritual prayer warrior. She faced life with a joyful attitude and was a gifted artist who loved painting. Theresa was a member of New Hope Ministries Church of God in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ellison Sr. in 2015; and by her hiblings, Eddie Dizney, Reggie Dizney, Shelvia Jean Sylvester, Loreeda Dizney, Violetta June Dizney, and Clesta Cox.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Ellison Jr. and wife Connie of London; and Anthony Ellison of Richmond; grandchildren, Amanda Ellison and Rebecca Van Gelderen and husband Nathan; siblings, Lanitta Moore and husband Jerry, Adele Wyatt; Trudy Stevens and husband Richard, and Joy Karr; and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The funeral service was held December 27, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Ellison officiating.
Burial followed in Lynn Camp Cemetery in Corbin.
