Thomas Wade Ricky Glynn Barnes, 54, of Athens, TN passed away Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens.
He was born November 20, 1963 in Jellico, TN.
Rick was preceded in death by sons, Riley Miracle Barnes, Thomas Wade Barnes; grandson, Ragnar Hall; father, Rev. Verldon Barnes; mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Treadway Barnes; sisters, Carol Ann Barnes, Jeannie Leach.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Stanfield Barnes; son, Ricky Barnes and Stacy; step-sons, Austin Stanfield and wife Jamie, Aaron Chandler, Andrew Chandler; daughter, Rebecca Barnes-Hall and husband Bobby; five grandchildren, Valek, Alexzander, Hinata and Athena Hall, Landon Barnes; bothers, Rev. Donald Barnes, David Barnes, John Barnes; sister, Vickie Perkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 10 at the Harp Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Donald Barnes and Brandon Sartain officiating.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico is in charge of arrangements.
