Trial for mother of slain three-year-old set to begin next week in Whitley County

The jury trial for the mother of three-year-old Amoura Smallwood, who was brutally beaten to death in February 2023, is set to begin next week and prosecutors say they currently expect the trial to move forward as scheduled.
