Vestal William Gibbins Sr., 69, of Troy, MI and formerly of Williamsburg departed this life on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his home.

He was born on May 18, 1949 in Williamsburg, to the late Thomas Gibbins and Hazel (Earls) Gibbins.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Vestal Gibbins Jr.

He is survived by his companion of 31 years, Vickie Krotzer of Troy, MI; daughters, Laura Jenette Gibbins (Stephen Gilreath) of Stearns, Debbie Krotzer of Troy, MI and Lisa Christ of Clinton Township, MI; five grandchildren, Cody Smith (Geena) of Lexington, KY, Nichole Krotzer of Warren, MI, and Devon Gibbins, Paige Gibbins and Meagan Gibbins all of Michigan; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Anelean Judkins and Judy Johnson of Hazel Park, MI; three brothers, Barry Gibbins and Ricky Gibbins (Julie of Hazel Park, MI and Gerald Gibbins of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 6, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Meadors officiating.

Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Canadatown Cemetery.

Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 88 of Corbin.
