Virgina Sue Peace

On February 20, 2026, Virgina Sue Peace, 61 years and 19 days of age, affectionately known as Susie, passed away. Born on February 1, 1965, in Cincinnati, OH, she carried her zest for life and her loving nature wherever she went. Susie a thoughtful and dedicated woman, she worked at the University of the Cumberlands before retiring. Her interest always centered on her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making them her hobby and her joy.
She was a devoted member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. She found great solace and strength in her faith and shared this passion with those around her. She was a loving wife of over 40 years to Wayne Peace of Siler, KY, and together they created a home filled with warmth and love.
Alongside her husband, she is survived by her sons, Sammy Peace and wife Donna of Corbin, KY, Shannon Peace and wife Brandi of Corbin, KY, Scotty Peace and wife Tay of Barbourville, KY; her grandchildren, Maci Peace, Kylee Hunter (Brent), Lexie Peace, Ethan Peace (Cora), Allison Peace, Nathan Peace, Malachi Hersey (Kayla), Nathaniel Hersey (Kacie), Lashae Campbell; her great-grandchildren Harper Hunter, Aaliyah Hersey, Kinsleigh Hersey, Casen Hersey, Olson Hersey and Sophia Hersey; her sisters, Sissy Vanover (Tim) of Williamsburg, KY, Tosha Cannon (Richard) of Calhoune, GA. and Lisa Faber of Williamsburg, KY; her brothers, Junior Faber (Louise) of Williamsburg, KY and George Faber (Kristi) of Calhoune, GA; and her mother-in-law, Jewell Peace of Williamsburg, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Faber, her mother, Lavada (Anderson) Faber; her special baby girl, Charlissa Peace; her father-in-law, William Dub Peace; and her two great-grandchildren, Baby Peace and Baby Hersey.
She also leaves behind a close sisterhood of special friends, several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, at 11:00 am at the Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The funeral service will follow on the same day at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ronnie Rose and Mike Jackson officiating.
Burial will take place at the Peace-Lawson Cemetery located at Limestone Road, Siler, Kentucky, at 3:00 pm.
