Wathena “Midge” Simpson, 82, of Corbin, passed away on Friday October 7, 2016 at her home.
She was retired from CTA and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Corbin.
Midge was preceded in death by her husband, George Simpson; parents, Leonard Miracle and Mary Duff Miracle; brother, Willis Miracle; and sisters, Wilma Campbell and Joann Helton.
She is survived by her children; Susan Crawford and husband Bruce of Bartlesville, OK; Ken Simpson and wife Nancy of Corbin; and Rick Simpson and fiancé Theresa Rogers of Somerset; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, June Griffith and husband Clarence of Corbin; Judy Duty and husband Jim of Winchester; and Elsie Lear and husband Dan of Lexington.
Funeral services were held Sunday October 9, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Keaton Smith officiating.
Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
