W’burg schools doing remote learning rest of week

Date:

The Williamsburg Independent School District has temporarily gone to remote learning for the remainder of the week due to a staffing shortage.

The school district announced on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon that it would be utilizing temporary remote instruction days for the rest of the school week, which included Wednesday, Feb. 16, Thursday, Feb. 17, and Friday, Feb. 18.

“This closure is due to the unavailability of staff members due to sickness,” district officials wrote in the post.

Second grade students and below are expected to work on their paper assignments. Students in the third grade and above need to participate in their Google meets daily.

Anyone with questions should call 549-6044.
