Whitley County Grand Jury hands down 16 drug-related indictments

The Whitley County Grand Jury returned 16 drug-related indictments while issuing its monthly report Monday, according to the grand jury report and indictments, including:

  • Michael Perkins, 39, of Corbin – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and tampering with physical evidence (attempting to swallow drugs).
  • Derek Lord, 32, of Pineville – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and first-degree fleeing or evading police.
  • Jody Taylor, 32, of Crab Orchard – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine and heroin), third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Xanax), third-offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving a motor vehicle while license is revoked or suspended.
  • Matthew Watson, 29, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
  • Johnny Hubbard, 48, and Donna Hubbard, 46, both of Williamsburg – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnny Hubbard was also indicted for being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun (appeared on home surveillance with a hand gun in his possession).
  • Terry Mullis, 36, of Woodbine, Kelly Ward, 26, of Williamsburg, and Shane Gray, 42, of Woodbine – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and second-degree possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone).
  • Kelly Ward, 26, of Williamsburg – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, third-degree possession of a controlled substance (Xanax), and tampering with physical evidence.
  • Ronnie Smith, 39, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree fleeing or evading police, and first-degree criminal mischief (damaging vehicle).
  • Coy Howard, 33, of Williamsburg – cultivating marijuana five or more plants.
  • Donald Freshour, 42, of Lawrenceburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon (Hi-Point CF380 handgun).
  • Donald Knuckles, 65, of Corbin – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia, cultivating marijuana more than five plants.
  • Latisha Brown, 31, of Keavy – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), second-degree possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Kerry Howard, 54, address listed as homeless – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
