Nearly two dozen faculty and staff members were recognized last Thursday during the Whitley County Board of Education’s monthly meeting, where each were presented with the Stilwell Award. The award, which is presented to “the unsung heroes that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in education technology,” was given as a commendation of the group’s work at the onset and throughout the pandemic in helping make sure students were prepared and properly able to learn despite being out of classes.
