Whitley County Sheriff’s Department stay busy in Octover

The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department had a busy month of October.

During the month, sheriff’s deputies answered 1,179 calls for service and responded to 45 motor vehicle collisions.

The sheriff’s department also opened 35 new criminal cases, and it made 93 criminal arrests October.

During 2021, the sheriff’s department answered 12,239 calls for service, responded to 344 motor vehicle collisions, opened 427 new criminal cases, and made 960 criminal arrests.
