Whitley man dies in ATV accident

The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department confirms that a fatal ATV accident occurred on May 3, 2016. Around 8 p.m. Deputy Joe Prewitt responded to Black Oak Road after a 911 call reported that a man had wrecked his four wheeler. Tracy Davenport, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene by Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley.

No other motorized vehicles were involved, and speed is believed to be a factor. Investigation of the accident will continue by Dep. Prewitt and Coroner Croley.
