Williamsburg Superintendent Tim Melton to receive raise

Williamsburg Independent Superintendent Tim Melton is getting a raise.

During the Williamsburg Independent Board of Education’s regular monthly meeting Tuesday, board members entertained an amendment to Melton’s contract that would adjust his salary for the remainder of the contract. According to Board Chair Kim Williams, the proposed amendment would allow for a 3 percent raise to Melton’s current salary, bumping his yearly pay up to a total of $97,000.
