The Ossoli Club chose to honor longtime member, the late Diane Mitchell, with this year’s festival theme – A Trip to the Library. In addition to her work with the Ossoli Club, Mitchell was also a lifelong supporter of the public library, serving on the library board and remaining as an active member of the Friends of the Corbin Library until her passing last year.

Friday’s May Day Festival also featured the Corbin High School Choir, who opened the ceremonies by singing the National Anthem, and performers from the Gail Frederick School of Dance, who entertained the crowd with a dance around the Maypole.
