Jerry R. Llewellyn

erry R. Llewellyn, age 89, of Jellico, TN, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan D. Llewellyn and Pearnie (Smith) Llewellyn; sisters, Mary Margret (Llewellyn) Brooks, and Betsy (Llewellyn) Downey and husband Harold; brothers, Morgan S. Llewellyn and wife Thelma, and H.D. Llewellyn.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Sharp) Llewellyn; daughter, Teresa Chitwood and husband Harry; son, Jerry R. Llewellyn II and wife Christy; grandsons, Jordan Chitwood and wife Paige, Austin Chitwood and wife Samantha, Hayden Llewellyn and Jeremiah “JB” Llewellyn; great-grandchildren, Quinn Chitwood, Landri Chitwood and Judah Chitwood; nieces, Joanne Watts, Phillis Lay, Pernie Branam and Pat Paulson.
Jerry was the owner of Llewellyn’s Jellico Furniture and Llewellyn Funeral Home, founded in 1911 by his father.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a quiet man with a kind heart.
Graveside service with military honors was provided by the Jellico Honor Guard on Sunday, January 14, in the Jellico Cemetery with Rev. Scott Landes officiating.
