The Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has announced that Dr. Quentin Young, the University of the Cumberlands’ soon-to-be newest president, will serve as the guest presenter at its October membership luncheon.
Young was announced earlier this year as the successor to outgoing President Dr. Larry Cockrum. He previously served in the roles of Executive Vice President for Finance and CFO.
Young will officially assume the role of president of the university on Oct. 16.
The October chamber membership luncheon will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Williamsburg Tourism and Convention Center. The luncheon is being sponsored by Firestone of Williamsburg, and will begin at 11:45 a.m. To register, call (606) 528-6390 or send an e-mail to whitney@sky-eda.com.
