It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rucella Faye Rose, 79, on January 24, 2026.
Born on August 25, 1946, in Eagan, Tennessee, Rucella was a beacon of warmth and love, bringing joy and comfort to all those who were fortunate to know her.
She served as a devoted member of the Gatliff Freewill Baptist Church for over 58 years, her spiritual strength and steadfast faith serving as an inspiration to many.
Rucella was an accomplished quilter, her nimble fingers weaving together intricate patterns that mirrored the colorful tapestry of her own life. Each stitch was a testament to her patience and creativity, each quilt a warm embrace that will continue to provide comfort to her loved ones.
Cherished wife of over 58 years to Bill Rose of Williamsburg, KY, she was the bedrock of a family that loved her deeply and will remember her fondly.
She was a loving mother to her sons, Chuck Rose and wife Michelle of Rockholds, KY, Billy Rose of Emlyn, KY, Johnny Rose of Corbin, KY, and Michael Rose and wife Genia of Williamsburg, KY; and a doting grandmother and great-grandmother to Ethan Rose, Logan Rose, Daniel Rose, Thomas Rose, Caleb Rose (Brandy), Austin Rose, Lauren Troutman, Faith Rose, five great-grandchildren, Lillie Troutman, Lincoln Troutman, Lacey Troutman, Waylon Rose, and Walker Rose.
She is also survived by her two sisters, Vera Rickett and husband Rev. Kenneth of Williamsburg, KY, and Doris Lee and husband Henry of Williamsburg, KY; and her brother, Eugene Wilson (Loretta) of New Boston, MI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Martin Wilson and Beatrice (Anderson) Wilson; her infant daughter, Mary Beatrice Rose; her brothers, James Wilson, Charles Wilson, Roger Wilson, Johnny Wilson, Leonard Wilson, Garfield Wilson; and her sisters, Edith Teague, Phyllis Partin, and Wilma Barnhill.
The visitation will be held at the Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, on Sunday, February 1, at 12:00 pm.
The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with Rev. Kenneth Rickett, Rev. Darren Davis and Rev. Caleb Rose officiating.
The burial service will be at the Croley Addition Highland Park Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky, at 4:00 pm.
