W’burg woman arrested following DUI crash in north Corbin

A Williamsburg woman was arrested Tuesday after police say she was "under the influence" while driving and caused an accident on US 25E just north of Corbin.

The accident happened at around 4:04 p.m. According Laurel County Sheriff John Root, 37-year-old Annette Cox, of E. Hwy. 94 in Williamsburg, was east bound on US 25 E when she turned left in front of another vehicle traveling west. The two cars collided.
The other driver, 49-year-old Donna S. Isaacs, of Corbin, was transported by ambulance to Baptist Regional Medical Center to be treated for possible injuries.

Cox was arrested and charged with DUI. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

West Knox Fire Department assisted with traffic control at the scene of the accident.
