A Corbin man was indicted Friday for allegedly beating a woman with a cane and his fists.

James Setser Jr., 46, Corbin was indicted for second degree assault for beating Lisa Setser with the cane, his fists and other items, and kicking her on Aug. 19, of this year.

The attacks caused serious physical injury to the victim.

Other miscellaneous indictments returned Friday included:

Brian Davis, 27, Barbourville; tampering with physical evidence, hindering prosecution or apprehension, persistent felony offender

Marcus Brock, 49, Barbourville; possession of firearm by convicted felon

Imogene Hickman, 57, Girdler; bailjumping

Tammy Baker, 44, Middlesboro; bailjumping, persistent felony offender

Susan Thomas, 40, Corbin; bailjumping

Jonas Earls, 23, Corbin; first-degree criminal mischief

A Corbin was indicted Friday for allegedly cashing more than $8,700 in forged checks at a Knox County bank.

Trevor Johnson, 29, was indicted on ten counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

According to the indictment, Johnson allegedly presented checks in amounts varying from $250 to $3,500 for payment at Forcht Bank between June 10 and June 16, 2011.

The checks were allegedly had the forged signature of the victim, identified in the indictment as Earl Johnson.

Other theft-related indictments returned Friday included;

Jackie Boles, 35, Barbourville; second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment, persistent felony offender

James Middleton, 30, Barbourville; second-degree burglary, third-degree burglary, first-degree wanton endangerment

Felicia Atkins, 21, Corbin; second-degree burglary

Brandon Mills, 28, Corbin; second-degree burglary, persistent felony offender

Jeremy Kelly, 38, Corbin; second-degree burglary

Anthony Brinyark, 21, Gray; second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking

Challis Davis, 30, Barbourville; theft by unlawful taking over $500, theft by unlawful taking less than $500, tampering with physical evidence

Donna Davis, 43, Barbourville; theft by unlawful taking over $500, theft by unlawful taking less than $500, tampering with physical evidence

James O. Sizemore, 25, Barbourville; theft by unlawful taking over $500, persistent felony offender

Tiffany Lynn Mason, 23, Corbin; theft of identity

Justin Maiden, 23, Pineville; receiving stolen property over $10,000.

3. Seven suspects are charged with allowing five minor children to be present while they were allegedly making meth.

David Huff, 29, Donna Huff, 41, and Kimberly Griffith, 23, all of Gray, are charged with fourth-degree controlled endangerment to a child for allowing the children, ages six to 17, to be in the location where they were allegedly cooking meth on Sept. 3.
In addition to the endangerment charges, David and Donna Huff are charged with manufacturing meth.

David Huff and Griffith also are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, while Griffith also is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance.

Donna Huff also was indicted for being a persistent felony offender.

In a similar case, John Stewart, 34, of Gray, and Faith A. Mills, 25, of Bimble, both are charged with five counts of fourth-degree controlled substance endangerment to a child, as well as one count of manufacturing meth. Mills also is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance. Stewart also faces charges of defacing a firearm.
