Whitley County Schools delays start of school again due to air conditioning problems

Date:

The Whitley County School System regrets that the start of school will have to be delayed until Monday, August 15th.

Whitley County schools were scheduled to begin classes tomorrow, Thursday, August 11th, but due to unresolved issues with the air conditioning system at Whitley County High School, Superintendent Scott Paul announced that the first day for students will be on Monday, August 15th.

“Unfortunately there are still unresolved issues with the air at the High School. We will be delaying the start of school until Monday,” stated Superintendent Scott Paul.

As Superintendent Paul stated earlier in the week, “The safety and health of our students is our first priority.” Students will begin classes on Monday, August 15th.  Mr. Paul apologizes for the last minute notice.  The district appreciates your patience and apologizes for the inconvenience.
