BREAKING NEWS: Police involved in wild pursuit with alleged shoplifter

Date:

Authorities from Laurel and Whitley Counties were involved in a high-speed pursuit today that started in London and ended on southbound I-75 at about the 21 mile marker.

The chase started in London on KY 192 (bypass) when the man, driving a Ford Crown Victoria, refused to stop for police. He turned down KY 363 then hit US 25 and raced south toward Corbin. Corbin Police, Kentucky State Police, Williamsburg City Police and the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department were all involved in the chase.

According to information from police radio frequencies, the man allegedly stole a chainsaw and a weedeater from Tractor Supply Store in London.
