Joan Leola Cox, 82, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016, at UKMC in Lexington.
Born in Clarissa, Minnesota, she had worked as a social worker in Michigan. A Lutheran by faith, Joan was a member of the Christian Bike Group, Leather ‘N’ Lace in Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Cox, November 5, 2013, and by her mother Hazel Westlund.
She is survived by her sons James Halstead, Gregory Cox, and Kevin Cox; many grandchildren including special granddaughter Christine Bargo; and by her special neighbor and friend Jeff.
A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, September 3, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Calvary Cemetery.
