Joyce J. West, 82, of Gray passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
She was a daughter of the late Harold Ondis and Floy Hila (Reynolds) Steele.
She had been an education director with Bell-Whitley Head Start and had attended Hopewell Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon D. West, and three sisters: Brenda Klunder, Phyllis Burnette, and Janice Messer.
She is survived by a daughter: Robin Estep; two grandsons: Dustin Walters, and Cody Walters; two great-grandchildren: Brody Walters and Dakota Havens; two sisters: Lillian Babb and Wanda Mays; several nieces and nephews.
At Joyce’s request, she was cremated. The family will plan a memorial service at a later date.
