Sherman Lawson, 58, of Slusher Cemetery Road, Corbin, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the home of his daughter in Manchester.

He was born on July 3, 1959 in Pineville, to the late Rev. Estes Lawson and Ruth Wynn Lawson.

Sherman attended the House of Refuge Church of God in Rockholds.

He is survived by his wife Rhonda Lawson of  Corbin; daughter, Casey Lawson (Lucas Burns) of Manchester; son, Sherman Curtis Lawson (Emily Elliott of Richmond; fourteen brothers and sisters, Jimmy Ray Lawson of Siler, Bob Lawson and wife Brenda of Williamsburg, Bonnie Fuson and husband Jim of Corbin, Barbara Rhodes and husband Glennis of Siler, Sheila Perkins of Siler, Mary Rhodes and husband Ken of Siler, Darlene Partin and husband Jerry of Williamsburg, Rev. Mark McKinley Lawson and wife Hallie of Rockholds, Tim Lawson of Siler, Delvena Rains and husband Ernie of Somerset, Dennis Lawson and wife Kim of Williamsburg, Zola Lawson of Williamsburg, Rev. Lilburn Doug Lawson and wife Amanda of Williamsburg, and Leva Patricia Jordan and husband Keith of Barbourville; many nieces and nephews; and a host of many other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 3, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Lawson and Rev. Mark Lawson officiating.

He was laid to rest in the Canadatown Cemetery.
