Second plea entered in federal pharmacy burglaries case

Date:

A second defendant pleaded guilty Friday to his part in a series of pharmacy burglaries throughout the southeastern U.S., including two located in Corbin, while a third is scheduled to appear in court Thursday for a rearraignment hearing.

Thirty-nine-year-old Kenneth Britton of Whitwell, Tennessee came before U.S. Magistrate Judge Hanly A. Ingram Friday in London where he pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, to include oxycodone.

Britton told the court that he would drive the trail car during the burglaries, explaining that it was his job to be looking out for the police.
