Howard Edwin Shelton, 79, of South 5th Street, Williamsburg departed this life on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at his home.

He was born on June 24, 1939 in Whitley County, to the late Kay Shelton and Sarah (Jones) Shelton.

He was a member of First Baptist Church in Williamsburg.

Mr. Shelton taught school in Goshen, OH for over 31 years

He is survived by his wife, Mildred “Milly” Shelton of Williamsburg; two sons, Troy Shelton (wife Tammy) and Jeff Shelton, both of Goshen, Ohio; one grandson, Dylan Shelton of Goshen, Ohio; two stepchildren, Rocky Briggs (wife Tara) of Williamsburg and Timothy Briggs (wife Stacey) of Goshen, OH; four step grandchildren, T.J. Briggs of Goshen, Ohio, Savanah Briggs of Goshen, Ohio, Hunter Briggs of Williamsburg, and Dylan Briggs of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
