Richard Douglas, 83, of Portage, IN passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, IN.
He was born May 9, 1935 in Campbell County, TN.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Poley and Josie Chitwood Douglas; brothers, James Douglas, Kenneth Douglas; sisters, Thelma Douglas, Nannie Douglas, Dean Hamblin.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Adams Douglas; son, Richard Allen Douglas and wife Elizabeth; daughter, Deanna Broyles and husband Mike; grandchildren, Douglas Richard Lay, Amanda Jones, Hannah Douglas, Aleda Douglas-Baker; great grandchildren, Khloie Noel, Maltilyn Noel, Landyn Jones, Carter Jones; brother, Hazel Douglas; sisters, Cecelia King, Lois Cooper, Linda Walsh, Loretta Henderson, Retha Melton, Gayla Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 27 at the Harp Funeral Home with Bro. Don Good officiating.
Burial followed in the Douglas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community).
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
