Samuel Kent Steely, 62, of South Second Street, Williamsburg departed this life on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

He was born on December 23, 1956 in London, to Paul P. and Stella (Davidson) Steely. Sam was a member of the Williamsburg Masonic Lodge #490 F & AM.

He is survived by his parents, Paul and Stella Steely of Williamsburg; brother, Paul David Steely (Brenda) of Williamsburg; nieces, Beth Bates (Pam) and Paige Steely-Cotter (Daniel); nephews, Jimmy Bates (Melanie), Hunter Bates (Jennifer) and Chase Steely (Amanda Pasco); several great nieces and nephews; uncle, Brance Steely (Mary) of Williamsburg; aunts, Genny McGregor (Bill) of Harrison, OH, Minnie Clark of Miamisburg, OH, Karen Davidson of La Grange, Mary Lynn Steely of Williamsburg and Betty Steely of Williamsburg; special friend, Tami Harrell; and a host of other family, friends and his work family from Poly One in Clinton, TN to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, January 19, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Bruce Patrick, Hon. Hunter Bates and Rev. Ande Myers officiating.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the Perkins Cemetery on Browns Creek.
