Police called to disturbance complaint find Corbin man, Williamsburg woman fighting over drugs

A Corbin man and a Williamsburg woman were arrested Tuesday morning in Laurel County after police say a verbal argument over drugs at a residence in the Wyan-Pine area turned physical.

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kristina D. Blakley, 29, and Robert Havens, 40, of Corbin at the residence on Roaden Lane, off of Maple Grove Road.

Deputies were called to the scene at approximately 7:20 a.m. in response to a complaint of a disturbance.

Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, stated both had reportedly suffered injuries as a result of the fight, though neither required an ambulance or treatment at a hospital.

Blakley and Havens were each charged with fourth-degree assault – domestic violence and public

intoxication – controlled substances, and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.
