Freeda Blankenship Douglas, 93, of Newcomb, TN passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home.
She was born August 18, 1925 in Everetts, KY.
Freeda was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Willard Douglas; grandchildren, Gordon Broyles, Kim Broyles Thomas; parents, Charles and Tennie Morgan Blankenship; sister and brothers, Delphia, Newman, Audrey, Charles, Jr., Ernest, Milford Blankenship.
She is survived by a son, Willard Douglas & wife Sulia; daughters, Dorothy Broyles and husband Willis, Linda Diane Broyles and husband Hubert, Iris Smith and husband Bill, Kathy Ratliff; grandchildren: Allen, Wendy, Jason, Sarah, Kevin, Brian, Chris and Jamie; several great and great -great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing.
A graveside service was held Saturday, June 1, in the Douglas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community) with Rev. Randy Bargo officiating.
Burial was in the Douglas Cemetery (Wooldridge Community).
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of arrangements.
