John Holbert Wilson, 71, formerly of the Emlyn Community of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in Lehigh Acres, Florida after a hard fought battle with cancer.

He was born on July 30, 1948 in Lynch, Kentucky to the late Floyd and Ester (Ramey) Wilson.

He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Velma Tuttle, Judy Parks and Wilma Leis.
John enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and spoiling them with snow cones. He enjoyed playing cornhole and horseshoes and watching the UK Wildcats and the Indianapolis Colts.

He is survived by three daughters, Christina Chapman (Jeremy) of Zionsville, Indiana, Angela Bauer (Matthew) of McCordsville, Indiana and Melissa Reed (Ryan) of Seymour, Indiana; grandchildren, Addison Chapman, Sophia Chapman, Katherine Chapman, Chase Bauer, Isabella Bauer, Brynnlee Bauer, Kinsey Reed and Kylie Reed; brother, Don Wilson (Suzy) of Lehigh Acres, Florida; two sisters, Sue Bornstein of Indianapolis, Indiana and Bea Reeves (Ralph) of Hebron, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, September 21, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the Emlyn Cemetery in Williamsburg.
