Virgil E. “Bogie” Teague

Mr. Virgil E. “Bogie” Teague, age 93, of White Oak (Duff), Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020, in Greer, South Carolina. He was born April 28, 1927 in Eagan, Tennessee.

Bogie is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Powers Teague; son, Kevin Teague; parents, Garrett and Martha Leach Teague; and seven siblings.

He is survived by a son, J. Lynn Teague and wife Jean Ann of Greer, South Carolina; a daughter, Sharon Prater and husband David of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laura Hensley and Drew, Kelly Evans and Drew, Nathan Teague, Sarah Teague, and Stephanie Petree and Tony; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.

A private graveside service was held on Saturday, July 18, in the Lambdin – Sunnyview Cemetery (Frakes, Kentucky) with Rev. Drew Hensley and Brother Drew Evans officiating.

A public memorial service will be planned for a later date.
