Minivan driver charged with trafficking meth

Date:

A traffic stop on Interstate 75 early Monday morning resulted in the arrest of a Corbin man on drug trafficking and weapons charges.

Terry Lynn Graves, Jr., 36, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of a defaced firearm, second-degree possession of a controlled substance – drug not specified, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, said deputies stopped the Oldsmobile Silhouette minivan near the 46-mile marker.

“During the traffic stop the driver was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine, glass smoking pipes with residue, digital scales, pills, and firearms one of which had the serial number destroyed,” Acciardo stated.

Graves was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
