Area football teams begin workouts

Date:

Football practice began Monday night at Corbin High School as players participated in speed and agility drills on the track.

Coach Tom Greer said the Redhounds were also working in the weight room.

Corbin’s skill players are scheduled for seven-on-seven drills later this week in Tennessee, while the linemen will remain in town to work out.

Whitley County, Williamsburg and Lynn Camp also began workouts in preparation for putting on the pads on Aug. 1.

The regular season is scheduled to begin on Aug. 20.
