Pavement operations start Thursday, Dec. 2, on portion of I-75 in Whitley County

Date:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists to expect intermittent lane closures on both sides of Interstate 75 in Whitley County beginning Thursday morning, Dec. 2, and continuing until Friday, Dec. 3.

The lane closures are needed to accommodate an asphalt rehabilitation project.

The project area is from mile point 11.2 (just north of the Williamsburg interchange) to the Kentucky/Tennessee state line. Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
