Williamsburg School officials say they continue to investigate accusations of potential threats

Date:

Williamsburg Independent School officials said accusations and rumors of threats that came to light last Friday have continued this week, but investigations have found them to be unfounded.

“Every accusation since Friday that has been brought to the administration by a student or staff member has been thoroughly investigated,” school officials wrote in a statement posted on the school’s Facebook page Wednesday night noting that the investigations have been performed by school administrators and school resource officers following the recommended processes from the Kentucky Center for School Safety.

“None of the investigations have revealed a credible threat to the safety of any of our students,” officials stated adding that they will continue to investigate any further threats.

“Williamsburg City School will continue to work with local law enforcement to create a safe learning environment,” officials stated.
