Mary Ruth Anderson Hill, age 92, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2022 at her home with family by her side. She was born July 15, 1929 in Whitley County, KY to the late Zeb and Beulah Luttrell Anderson. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Clara Mae Bunch; four sons, Earnest Edward, George, Woodrow, and Homer; one great-granddaughter, Emma Sue Partin; five sisters, Myrtle Barnhill, Hazel Sullivan, Ollie Spivey, Maggie Rains, and Lavada Faber; five brothers, Homer, Claude, Coy, Ernest, and Oba. She was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by three daughters, Maxine Partin (Ronnie), Izella Manning, and Julia Turner (Charlie); three sons, Everett Hill (Cora), Perry Hill, James Hill; 21 grandchildren; special grandson, Alan Hill; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two special nieces, Janie Peace, and Peggy Brown, who she called her other daughters; several nieces, nephews; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Tuesday, May 10, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Sester, Rev. Chuck Evans, and Rev. Ronnie Bowman officiating.
Interment will be in Maple Creek Cemetery.
