Belva Hungerbuhler, the wife of the late Ray Hungerbuhler, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in Lexington at the age of 92 years.
Born at Filbert, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William Oscar and Anna Elizabeth (McGlamery) Foster. She also was preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Foster and brothers, Hubert Foster and Billy Foster.

The Hungerbuhlers came to Corbin around 1955 for Ray to work at the U.S. Steel coal washing plant.

Here she became a longtime member of the former First United Methodist Church, later Grace on the Hill UMC, as well as the Bryant Chapter Order of the Eastern Star. Belva retired from the Kentucky Dept. for Human Resources as a senior case worker.

Survivors include children, Dr. Ronald Hungerbuhler and wife Jenny, and Linda Push and husband Steve; grandchildren, Erik Hungerbuhler and wife Sarah, Rachel Hungerbuhler, and Michael Push; and great-grandchildren, Anabelle Hungerbuhler and Fiona River Hungerbuhler.

Belva’s family will meet for a private farewell on Saturday, April 22, at Cumberland Memorial Gardens prior to her entombment there.
