We regret to announce the passing of Alice Huddleston, who departed this life on August 18, 2025.
Alice was a beloved figure in her community, known for her love of sewing and quilting. She left an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to know her, be it family, friends, or acquaintances. Her warmth and kindness were as constant as the needle and thread she so skillfully wielded, creating beautiful tapestries of love and connection within her family and community.
Alice is survived by her children, Mary Peanut (Alvin) Gibson, Ronnie Hill, Dennis Hill, Charlotte (Tom) Sharp, Lisa Chaffin, Terry (Joann) Broyles, Sharron (Jim) Lindsay, and Chris (Miranda) Broyles. She is also survived by her brothers, Roy (Evelyn)and Buck Carr; her sisters, Betty Carr and Anna Wildermoth; her brother-in-law, Vic Baldwin; and her sister-in-law, Chrystal Broyles. Her legacy is carried on by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Alice is preceded in death by her father, Walter Carr; her mother, Emeline Carr; her husband, Charles Broyles; her children, Lois Baldwin and Stanley Broyles; her grandchild, Joey Peace; her brother, Troy Carr; and her sisters, Elsie Moses, Dorothy Jones and Polly Carr.
Funeral service was held on Friday, August 22, at Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Heath presiding over the service.
