Baptist Health Corbin recognized for excellence in pediatric emergency care

Baptist Health Corbin is proud to be named one of only 34 agencies across Kentucky to receive the 2025 Pediatric Recognition Award from the Voluntary EMS Pediatric Recognition Program. This prestigious recognition, announced by the Kentucky EMS for Children (EMSC) Advisory Committee, honors the agency’s dedication to delivering exceptional emergency care to children.

The award acknowledges EMS agencies that have met rigorous criteria aimed at improving pediatric emergency services throughout the state. Baptist Health Corbin’s selection for the 2024 calendar year highlights its continued commitment to excellence in pediatric emergency response and care.

“We are honored to be recognized among the top EMS providers in Kentucky for our pediatric emergency care efforts,” said Janet Ayers, EMS Director, Baptist Health Corbin. “This recognition reflects the hard work and compassion of our dedicated team, who are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our youngest and most vulnerable patients.”

The official announcement coincides with EMS for Children Day, part of National EMS Week, emphasizing the vital role EMS teams play in safeguarding child health and safety.

Baptist Health Corbin is a 273-bed, acute care facility providing a wide variety of healthcare services to residents of Whitley, Knox, Laurel, Bell, Clay, Harlan and McCreary counties in Kentucky and Campbell County in Tennessee.
