Bessie Perkins Douglas, 91 of Jellico, TN passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Beech Tree Manor in Jellico.
She was born August 18, 1925 in Newcomb, TN
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Johnie Douglas; parents, Joe and Sally Sweeney Perkins; brothers, George Perkins, Pryor Perkins, Junior Perkins, Walker Perkins, Jesse Perkins, David Perkins; sisters, Bertha Sweeney, Lania Angel, Ruthie Rains, Elva Blankenship, Ollie Silcox, Ida Brooks, Dinah Brooks.
She is survived by her niece, Alice Norman of Pioneer, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn her passing.
The family will receive friends for visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, at Harp Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, in the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Cox and Rev. Rob Perkins.
Burial will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, September 29, in the Valley View Cemetery Pioneer, TN (Elk Valley).
