Shirley Sue Partin, 75, of Mahan Road, Siler, departed this life on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home.
She was born on October 22, 1943 in Siler, to the late John Smith Mahan and Nellie (Bennett) Mahan.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Elmer Mahan and three sisters, Jincy McKheehan, Mary Ann Taylor and Arzella Mahan.
Shirley was a graduate of Poplar Creek High School, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Cumberland College and her Master’s Degree in Education at Union College.

Christine Jones Fricke, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY.
Christine was born on August 24, 1938, in Corbin, to the late Clifford and Marie Black Jones.
She worked for the Corbin Independent School System as a teacher’s aide and was a member of the New Hope Ministries Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Amy Camille Hampton Canady.
