Shirley Sue Partin, 75, of Mahan Road, Siler, departed this life on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home. She was born on October 22, 1943 in Siler, to the late John Smith Mahan and Nellie (Bennett) Mahan. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Chester and Elmer Mahan and three sisters, Jincy McKheehan, Mary Ann Taylor and Arzella Mahan. Christine Jones Fricke, 80, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at Baptist Health in Corbin, KY. Christine was born on August 24, 1938, in Corbin, to the late Clifford and Marie Black Jones. She worked for the Corbin Independent School System as a teacher’s aide and was a member of the New Hope Ministries Church of God. Zema Lou Medlin Jones, 86, wife of the late James Frank Jones of Grays, passed away on Saturday in South Carolina. William L. “Bill” Miracle, 73, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home. Bill was born June 15, 1945 in Knox County, a son of the late Leonard and Viola Runyon Miracle. He graduated from Knox Central High School at age 16 and attended a business school in Louisville. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and was deployed to Vietnam. He served his country valiantly and was honorably discharged in 1969. Bill worked 30 years as a city letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Corbin forming lifelong friendships with his co-workers and customers walking his route.
